  • Contact us digitally: Send an urgent, confidential email to senco@westendburnley.co.uk.
  • Out of hours / Immediate danger: If you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm outside of nursery hours, please contact the Lancashire Children's Social Care Team directly on 0300 123 6720 or out of hours 0300 123 6722, or call the police on 999.

Allegations Against Staff or Volunteers (LADO)

We hold all of our staff and volunteers to the highest professional standards. If an allegation is made that a member of staff or volunteer has harmed a child, or behaves in a way that indicates they may pose a risk to children, we follow strict statutory procedures.

Any such concerns must be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or the Deputy DSL.

If the concern involves the Nursery Manager, or if you feel a safeguarding concern regarding a staff member has not been handled correctly internally, you should contact the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) directly.
